The Scary Train RideBy S.W., GermanyIt was some years ago, when my girl friend and I went to Hamburg to take part in a seminar given by Phyllis Krystal. The seminar was wonderful and we went home by train, feeling joyful and filled with light and love. On the journey the train was filled with a crowd of soccer fans singing Nazi songs, drinking alcohol, being very noisy and rowdy. We were frightened and even somehow disappointed that our so holy mood was disturbed but we had no choice. We were happy to find a compartment where only an elderly woman was sitting, but it only took a few moments and two drunken men came in. They started asking us questions and we replied in an unfriendly and cool manner trying to keep our distance. We looked at each other and in silent agreement we put our palms together, visualizing the Triangle and begging for love, energy and help. The two men asked what we were doing.... "praying?" They laughed at us. We stayed cool not knowing what to say or do. Suddenly I became aware of my arrogance and inner fear and something inside me opened up. A more open and kind dialogue began and finally one man returned to the group. My friend and I still held our palms together and after a very short time the second man fell asleep. We started singing aloud a mantra. We chanted for about ten minutes, sending light until the first man appeared again, woke the sleeping one up and told him to return to the group. He refused and stayed. So the first one also decided to stay and we continued our conversation. The men started telling us about their lives, which were not easy at all. The second one took out photos of his wife and children and we became aware of the loving heart in those men. Finally we arrived in our hometown greeted by many policemen and dogs. My friend and I walked along in the middle of a crowd of soccer fans feeling very touched by this experience, and - what a miracle - all our fears were gone.
